Help Desk

The IT Help Desk is located in the Technology Center in Room 25.

Moodle – Learning Management System

The course management system used by the University is Moodle. Learn how to access Moodle for the first time.

Wi-Fi

Office 365 email

Each student is provided an email account in NWHSU’s Office 365. All official university emails are sent through the NWHSU email system and all students are expected to check their email regularly. Learn about Office 365 and additional benefits (free Office Pro Plus for all students).

Colleague Self Service

All students have access to Colleague Self Service, a secure web portal that offers a variety of services, including viewing your course schedule and grades, and access to research journals. All students have access to a personal network folder both on and off-campus.


TruNorth Wellness Hub

The TruNorth Wellness Hub carries all the books, supplies, and equipment you should need. If you can’t find something in the store, feel free to ask a staff person. If the Hub doesn’t have it, they may be able to get it for you. There is no extra charge for special orders.

Students receive a 20% discount on many vitamin supplement lines. Look for the … (a line of dots) on the price tag to indicate those items.

The TruNorth Wellness Hub also carries snacks and drinks, postage stamps, flash drives, discount movie tickets, logo clothing, health and beauty items, water bottles, cheap scrubs (for the dissecting labs) and many other things.

Greenawalt Library

The Greenawalt Library offers specialized collections related to complementary medicine, medicine and basic sciences, off-campus access for numerous databases and over 30,000 e-journals, and many other specialized services.

The library has at least one copy of all required texts in Reserve for a 2-hour loan. There are also 14 A/V study rooms – you may reserve a room in the sign-up book at the Information Desk. Access to the online catalog, databases, e-journals, and lots of other helpful resources are available on their website, Greenawalt Library.

Students can also receive study skills to help you create individualized study skill plans to address possible study skill deficits. Writing skills assistance is also available.

Office of Student Affairs

We assist students throughout their academic program and provide an outstanding student life experience. Our many services include:

  • Peer and Group Tutoring: Peer and group tutoring is available free for any student. View the online list of tutors and the subjects they tutor – or pick up a list in the Office of Student Affairs.
  • Personal Counseling: Personal counseling is available free for any student to address any personal or academic concern.
  • Disability Services: If you have a documented disability, the Manager of Counseling and Disability Services will work with you and your faculty members to arrange reasonable accommodations during your education.
  • International Student Services: Provides information and guidance for all of NWHSU’s international students.
  • Student Clubs/Organizations and Student Senate: All student clubs and organizations, as well as the Student Senate, are housed in the Office of Student Affairs. If you are interested in starting or joining a club or joining the Student Senate, stop by the Student Affairs office or call 952-885-5405. View the list of student clubs and organizations.

Networking opportunities

  • Alumni Events – Attend our annual alumni events to network with our alumni practitioners and meet our Alumni Association Board Members to learn about what you need to know to be successful in your future practice.
  • Volunteer – Have some fun and make a difference by volunteering at one of our alumni fundraising events or community events. For more information, call 952-888-4777.

Fitness Center

Equipment in our Fitness Center includes free motion machines, free weights, guided machines, treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machine, Stairmaster, spin machines, stationary bikes, medicine balls, yoga mats, and much, much more.

The fitness center is not open to the public. You must be a student to utilize NWHSU’s Fitness Center.

Gymnasium

Our gym is equipped with full and half-court basketball configurations and glass backboards. You may use the gym when not in use by scheduled classes or other programming.
