Our Mission

Our mission in Student Affairs is to enhance the student experience and support the educational and personal development of students. We assist students throughout their academic program and provide an outstanding student life experience. Some of the programs and services we provide include:

Voter Registration

Internet Access Resources

As we transition to online courses as part of our campus response to COVID-19, there are several options available for students who are concerned about access to, or do not have access to, internet services. Below are some resources:

Internet Essentials is offering two months of free service for new customers as an online provider option. Visit their website for more information: internetessentials.com
FCC agreement stating that providers will waive late fees, not cutoff service for lack of payment, and open hot-spots.
Altice USA is offering Altice Advantage 30 Mbps broadband solution for free for 60 days to any new customer household within their footprint.
AT&T COVID-19 response: offers open hot-spots, unlimited data to existing customers, and $10/month plans to low income families.
Charter Free Internet offer for 2 months
Comcast COVID-19 response: offers free WiFi for 2 months to low income families plus all Xfinity hot-spots are free to the public during this time.
Cox COVID-19 response: New plans include offering a low-income internet tier with no annual contract and relaxing data usage overage charges for all tiers.
Sprint COVID-19 response: follows FCC agreement, provides unlimited data to existing customers, and, starting Tuesday, 3/17/2020, will allow all handsets to enable hot-spots for 60 days at no extra charge.
T-Mobile COVID-19 response: follows FCC agreement, plus unlimited data to existing customers, and, coming soon, will allow all handsets to enable hot-spots for 60 days at no extra charge.
Verizon COVID-19 response: no special offers, but following the FCC agreement.

Student Clubs and Student Senate

At NWHSU, we have over 50 clubs and organizations you can get involved in, ranging from personal to professional and academic interest.

Free Natural Healthcare Clinic and Fitness Facilities

At NWHSU, we’re all about your health and well-being . As a student, you have free access to a number of services for your physical, mental, and emotional health, including:

Fitness center, swimming pool, and gymnasium
Personal counseling
Wellness programs (pet therapy, weekly meditation group, etc.)
The NWHSU De Rusha Clinic which provides free or reduced services like acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, and massage therapy
